At our organisation, we believe in the power of youth voices. That’s why we’ve established youth-led interview panels to actively involve young people in the process of selecting candidates for SCF roles. These panels consist of passionate and engaged young individuals who have a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in our field.
Why are young people in the best position to conduct interviews?
- Relevance: You understand the challenges and opportunities faced by their peers. Their lived experiences make them attuned to the needs and aspirations of candidates who will work directly with youth.
- Fresh Perspectives: Youth-led panels bring fresh perspectives to the table. We need you to ask the questions that cut through formalities and get to the heart of the matter.
- Authenticity: Young panelists approach interviews with authenticity. You don’t rely on rehearsed answers or corporate jargon. Instead, you seek genuine connections and assess candidates based on their passion, empathy, and commitment.
- Representation: By participating in the selection process, young people ensure that our organisation is reflecting the diversity of our community. You advocate for inclusivity and challenge biases.
