Is Your Request Essential?
While your statutory right of access remains unchanged, our resources may be diverted away from usual compliance or information rights work at this time. Therefore, we would ask that, where possible, before submitting any requests for information, please check our website first, as it may be already published and available.
Because the national guidance is that people should work from home wherever possible and not come into the office unless absolutely essential, we would request that if you would like to make a request for information, you email foi@slough.gov.uk instead of using post as letters will not be picked up.
Prioritising essential services
If you cannot find the information, or require copies of your own information under a subject access request, please be aware that under current circumstances and our need to prioritise essential services, you may experience a delay in your response.
We will keep requestors informed of any delays and will respond as soon as resources allow. We will also be keeping up to date with any guidance published by the ICO as the situation moves forward, to ensure that we comply with any changes or amendments to information rights practice.
For further information on your information rights at this time, please visit the website for the Information Commissioner’s Officer.
Subject Access Requests
Slough Children First keeps personal information about the children we are supporting, in order to provide the services they require. You have the right to ask what your personal information is used for and request a copy of information that is held about you.
Please be specific about the information you are requesting. It will be faster and easier to service requests for more specific information, rather than all information we hold. Therefore, please provide as much information as possible, such as names, dates of birth, addresses etc.
You will need to put your request in writing by completing the form below and emailing your request to Information@sloughchildrenfirst.co.uk. You must provide a photocopy of your ID with your request or a copy of your client’s signed authority if you are requesting personal data on behalf of a third party.
In line with GDPR legislation, from 25 May 2018 Slough Children First will no longer charge for subject access requests
Information Request Application Form
We will normally respond within 30 days of receiving the request. However, if the requested information is going to take longer than this to prepare due to the volume of information held we will advise you accordingly. If you have not supplied all the necessary information, we will contact you and will put the request on hold until we receive this.
Freedom of Information Requests
All Freedom of Information requests should be directed to Slough Borough Council via the process listed on their website and Slough Children First will support Slough Borough Council in answering any questions.
